Choosing the Right Stone Grade for Your Build

Different architectural elements require specifically prepared granite grades. Residential foundations depend primarily on structural rubble blocks capable of resisting high shear loads. A home builder must understand the difference between random rubble and dressed masonry to correctly calculate materials, estimate labor costs, and achieve optimal structural stability.

At Galaxy Rocks, we process multiple sizes and grades of granite. Our core product, **Random Rubble**, consists of stones in their natural, split state, which are carefully sized to be hand-manageable by skilled masons (roughly 15 kg to 30 kg per block). For the corners and vertical columns of basements, we prepare **Hammer-dressed stones** that provide clean flat surfaces for sharp, robust structural angles.

Additionally, the waste granite from the splitting process is sent to our modern mechanical crushing units. This enables us to yield uniform structural aggregates (20mm and 40mm) and high-quality **M-Sand (Manufactured Sand)**. Using M-Sand instead of river sand in foundation mortar increases cohesion, reduces setting cracks, and offers a highly sustainable structural building standard.
